Every plan runs the same software. Tiers differ by how much you can capture, how many maps you can run at once, how many people can log in, how long projects are kept, whether client-facing pages carry your branding, and whether a finished export can be processed.

Reading the two quota rows. Scout includes no maps: every raw-photo map is paid in photo credits, one credit per photo, with no monthly limit. Pilot and Fleet include maps every month, and that allowance is not a hard stop — raw-photo maps beyond it run on credits, at your plan’s own per-map size while your subscription is in good standing; a finished export waits for the next billing period. Maps processing at the same time IS a hard limit — start another once one finishes, because an upload past it is declined rather than queued.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
New accounts get a 7-day free trial — the same trial whichever plan you signed up from, and no credit card required. It unlocks the entire platform on your own site data for 3 maps and 3,000 photos in total (no more than 3,000 on any one map), processed one map at a time, with 3 seats. A map that fails doesn't count. One trial per account. Airspace is sales-led and does not have a self-serve trial.
Is the free trial the same thing as the free photo credits?
No — you get both, and they stack. New accounts are credited 150 free photo credits (enough for one map of up to 150 photos) which never expire, plus a 7-day trial of the full platform. Trial maps come out of the trial's own allowance, not your credits — credits are only used if you go past the trial's 3 maps or 3,000 photos — so unless you do, they're all still there when the 7 days are up.
What's included in the trial?
The whole platform: the complete 2D mapping workflow, measurements, volumetrics and exports, plus the interactive 3D portal with its 3D model viewer, 3D file downloads including the point cloud, map annotations, and client share links — for 3 maps and 3,000 photos in total. Client pages can show your own branding during the trial as a preview; files you create during the trial carry DroneFlow branding. The trial was limited to 2D outputs until July 2026 — it no longer is, so you evaluate the same software you'd be buying.
What happens after the 7 days?
Your account moves to Scout, the pay-as-you-go plan. Your existing projects stay viewable, and you can keep processing raw-photo maps on photo credits — including any of your 150 welcome credits you haven't used, which never expire — at up to 1,000 photos a map, one map at a time. Or subscribe to Pilot or Fleet for included maps every month and larger maps. Unused trial maps and photos don't carry over, and neither does the plan you picked at sign-up. There's no charge of any kind until you add payment details: we don't have your card.
How long do you keep my projects?
On Scout, completed projects are kept for at least 90 days from project completion. On Pilot and Fleet they're kept for as long as your subscription is active, and for 90 days after it ends. If you only ever used the free trial and never subscribed, your projects are kept for 90 days after the trial ends. We email you 14 days and 3 days before anything is removed, so nothing disappears without notice — and your deliverables stay downloadable right up to the removal date. Separately, the original upload is cleared after about 30 days; that doesn't affect your finished map or any of its exports. Keeping your own copy of anything you rely on is always wise.
Are exports or storage metered?
No per-export charge. Raw download packages over 750 MB are not delivered. There's no storage tier to outgrow — you're billed by capture. Retention (above) is the one lifecycle limit, and it's stated per plan rather than hidden behind the word “unlimited”.
Do higher tiers unlock more software features?
Two things differ by tier. White-label client pages and reports need Pilot or above. Processing a finished export (DJI Terra, Pix4D, Metashape, WebODM) is included with Pilot and Fleet, and during the free trial; photo credits process raw drone photos. Everything else — cut/fill to a design surface, plan-vs-built overlays, volumetrics, the progress timeline and the AI tools — is on every plan, including Scout. Tiers otherwise differ by capture volume, seats, retention and support.
Do I need a subscription for a one-off site?
No. Scout is pay-for-what-you-map: buy a credit pack from $49 per 250 photos (up to $399 per 3,200 photos), upload raw drone photos, and we build the map. Credits never expire and there's no subscription.
Can I save money with annual billing?
Yes — annual billing is two months free, about 17% off. Pilot is $2,790 billed annually (effective $232.50/month) and Fleet is $4,490 billed annually (effective $374.17/month). Contact sales to switch your plan to annual.
How does this compare to DroneDeploy, Pix4D or Propeller?
Mostly on price and on what you have to commit to. Competitor pricing varies by vendor, seat count and contract term, and several publish no price at all — check any figure against that vendor's current published pricing before you rely on it. Ours starts at a $49 credit pack with no subscription. They also do things we do not — LiDAR, thermal, PPK and construction integrations among them. Our comparison page lists the entry prices each vendor published when we last read them, what each of them is best at, and the capabilities we are missing, so you can rule us out quickly if we are the wrong fit.
How big one map can be depends on how you’re paying — not on the plan you clicked at sign-up. During the trial, up to 3,000 photos a map. On Scout, paying with credits alone, up to 1,000. On a subscription, your plan’s limit — Pilot 3,000, Fleet 10,000 photos a map — including maps you run on credits once your included ones are used, while your subscription is in good standing. Subscribe by card during the trial and the plan starts when the trial ends, or straight away if you choose to start it now. An upload over the limit is refused, with a prompt to split the flight into smaller areas.
Prices shown in USD. Scout credits are pay-for-what-you-map — one-time purchases, not a subscription. Buy a pack ($49/250 · $99/600 · $199/1,400 · $399/3,200 photos), upload raw photos, and we build the map; credits never expire, and your first 150 are free. New accounts start with a 7-day free trial — no credit card required, one per account — which unlocks the entire platform for 3 maps and 3,000 photos in total. After day 7 your account moves to Scout: your existing projects stay viewable, and you can keep processing raw-photo maps on photo credits (up to 1,000 photos a map) or subscribe to Pilot or Fleet for included maps each month. Annual billing saves ~17% — contact sales to switch your plan to annual.
